Its four cabels to the airbag :-/ Xedos 6 airbag sterring wheel two cabels? Se the pictures. How do you think i should fix the connections? Do you have the xedos 6 coulor of the cabels for horn airbag and the auto speed? Thanks! |
Really need help from you!!
Hello there! = )
You told me to just soldier the cables but before i do this i have importent question: The Airbag of the Mazda 6 2004 har four cables to the airbag. two cables to the left contact ( white and yellow) and two to the right connection(red and blue) (on the steering wheel) all this goes to one black connection on the spring clock mazda 6. The Xedos 6 airbag on steering wheel has two? How do think i should connect the cabels? HOW DID YOU DO?`Did your new mazda steering wheel had four cables also??? I HOPE YOU HAVE THE TIME!! searching everywhere :-/ Anders 74anders@gmail.com PS you inbox here is full! = ) |
Xedos 6 has four cables to the airbag unit too. There are two plugs with two pins each - two pins for airbag firing and two pins for the horn. Should be the same with Mazda 6 GG airbag unit, but possibly with different connections.

Hello there! = )
Do you se the picture above here with the Mazda 6 airbag connetions? There it is four cables only for airbag. You say two for horn and two for airbag? Tanks! |
After many hours of searching it seems that the Xedos 6 airbag system is one stage system and the Mazda 6 2004 steering wheel has two stage connections.
So after reading a lot of BMW forum it seams that I connect only one pair to xedos system with the Mazda 6 steering wheel. Have to test! Anders |
my english is bad but i can help
#303 in the picture i can see two airbag connectors orange and yellow with black flap its an Frontdriverairbag with a first and a second stage. 1. disconnect the car battery, wait 2 minutes or connect plus with ground 2. airbags can explode with static charge 3. Have short hand contact with car (minus, ground) against static charge 4. Disconnect airbag plugs: first pull the flaps on the connector 2 - 3 mm from the airbag connectors, that makes short circuit in the airbagpins, than pull the connectors, take the masscable from the airbag and take it out with the pin down to eath 6. you dont need the second stage, cause the old car-Ecu have only one stage for the driverairbag , so take it out but !!! find out, witch one is the 1. first stage !!! ;) I dont now if the yellow or the orange connector is the first stage. Some airbags have a litte number 1 or A for the first stage and a 2 or B for second stage next to the socket in the Alumaterial so we need here only to see the "1" or "A", than we are sure, thats the first we need 7. you need the right form of your airbagconnector for the 1. stage 8. better connect the orig connector from the new airbagstage to the old airbag cables 9. isolat the cables, and than you can do the orig. connector in the airbag, and push the orange ( here the black, if the yellow is the first stage) flap, that make it sharp means the short in the pins of the Bag goes from the pins 10. Airbagmontage into the steeringwheel 11. connecting batterie 12. better sitting on the passanger side with earflaps:) 13. with the key you make the ignition on, not the engine, or want you drive?;-) 14. Look: AWL ( Airbag Warning Lampe) goes on to check and than off for OK Now the airbag ecu have checked any 3 Ohms of any stages, can be many more and sensors. So the new two stage airbag is connected with only on, the first main stage, to the pair of driver airbag cable in the steering weel (the first stage is to bring out the airbag, the second for slower crashspeed, an the third in passanger airbag to discharge air pressure for light people) |

The yellow must be the first (1.) stage you need.
I ve found the picture. and the reason i, yellow has his nose in the middle. Thats the sign for the first stage. Old connectors hasnt noses, because there was ever one stage. |
Thank you!
I fix it myself yesterday. I red a lot of airbag and wiring diagrams. hua! = ) What kind of steering wheel do you have? I want to connect the accelaration buttons also for the auto system! |
