Cold Air Intake - God Or Bad Idea?
 

Hello again!

I´ve seen many MX-6 2.5 V6 cars with Cold air intake pipe on youtube.
Is this good for the the 2.5 V6 engine? Anyone tried it and recommend?

Hi,

it depends where you place your Filter!
If you place it near your Engine, then you get only warm air in the Manifold.
If you find a place near your front bumper-like I have it on my Xedos 6, then you get nice cold air during driving in the Manifold and if you drive fast, the Manifold it self stays very cool, too!
But you have to clean the Filter more often, because it gets very dirty!
I can recommend a CAI and don´t want to miss it!

In that case its not a CAI. But its called SRI: Short Ram Intake.
