Thank you for your welcome and information, it is my recent Xedos that has the problem. I will look at the 626 and check the German eBay today.
Today my garage man read the part number of the petrol pump of my car and it was CA 04 A6B 09 which is unlike any of the numbers I’ve seen on the English eBay parts which are all second hand and sourced from Lithuania! I have actually ordered the only one, of three, not shown as 1997 or later, but I will keep looking for others in case it doesn’t work in my car; it may take two weeks to get here and I can advertise it for sale again if it doesn’t work.

Heute hat mein Mechaniker die Teilenummer der Benzinpumpe meines Autos abgelesen und es war CA 04 A6B 09, was anders ist als alle Nummern, die ich auf den englischen eBay-Teilen gesehen habe, die alle gebraucht und aus Litauen stammen! Ich habe tatsächlich das einzige von drei bestellt, das nicht als 1997 oder später angezeigt wird, aber ich werde weiter nach anderen suchen, falls es in meinem Auto nicht funktioniert; es kann zwei Wochen dauern, bis es hier ankommt, und ich kann es erneut zum Verkauf anbieten, wenn es nicht funktioniert.
